You Are The Measure explores the experience of space through a conceptual strategy game. A pair of dice was created based on a complimentary diagram: one expresses the 6 qualities of physical space, and the other expresses the 6 qualities of perceived space. When the dice are tossed, the relationship between the two are used to determine a holistic experiential understanding of space & place.
THE WALK DISCOURSE
In 2018 I facilitated a Walkshop as a part of the California Walkscapes exhibition at Incline Gallery in San Francisco. With fabricated dice I explored the city with a group of strangers, played the game in 6 locations and created a zine. This exhibition project was in conjunction with The Walk Discourse, curated by Astrid Kaemmerling.

FIELDWORK + PUBLIC INTERVENTION
In 2014 I took the theoretical into practice. With a sketch model of the dice I explored the city of Chicago, played the game in 6 locations and collected sound, photographs, found objects, natural samples, data, clay and charcoal impressions, and wrote durational poetry. Also had more than a few laughs.
