ARTIST / FILMMAKER / CURATOR
As an interdisciplinary artist, I work with a hybrid of artistic mediums, including: installation art, film/video, theatre, photography, sound, architecture, sculpture, textile arts, printmaking, and hand papermaking. I perceive an innate connectivity in my surroundings, observations of human behavior, and discourse, which manifests itself in my artwork. My artistic inquiry is an exploration of collective memory; how we perceive the external world and its relation to our inner monologues. The interstitial space between external and internal, physical and perceptual, reality and fiction, are my starting points to explore cultural narratives.
An activist at heart, I am a proponent of experiential education, community building through artistic initiative, and art for political, environmental, and social change.
